Example input: info@example.com.

Preserves the mailbox local part exactly, including case, dots and plus tags. Normalizes the domain with IDNA and reads DNS MX; respects Null MX and implicit A/AAAA fallback. Connects the email to its syntactic domain for supported pivots.

Coverage and interpretation

ASCII dot-atom mailbox syntax only; quoted or international local parts are not supported. Only the domain is sent to DNS. No SMTP probe, mail delivery, recovery request, breach lookup or owner assertion. DNS timeout remains unknown, never a negative mailbox result.

Public observations are not proof of real-world identity. Review candidate records against their cited sources. Saved investigations preserve evidence acquisition times and provider provenance; these timestamps do not establish when a profile or fact first existed.
